Cabinet faces are going on as I type and I will post more soon.

So when we moved into this new house, one of the things that needed some serious work was the kitchen. Here are some “before” pictures to give you an idea of what we are talking about. The cabinets are not standard size, they actually look like someone made them- but not in a good way. The stove was scary cause you go to lite it and it takes about 10 seconds for the gas to “catch”. And the tile counter tops with the wheat accents speak for them selves.





Well they came and started ripping out cabinet fronts and tearing up the counter top today

Sorry, these are long overdue!  Its been a crazy couple of weeks so Im behind in everything.  Here is a picture of our new house in Denver.  This is the front view.  There are 3 pine trees on the front of the house that will be coming down as soon as I can find an arborist to come and help with that.  I also have 4 very mature elm trees that we want to check on the health of.  The house is 4 bedrooms 3 baths, 2500 square feet.

The thing that sold us on the house was the outdoor living space.  There is a very nice back and side yard that are fenced.  We are on a corner lot, so there is a ton of space on the front thats not currently fenced.

The kitchen is big, but not in very good shape.  We are scheduled to have the cabinets re-faced, and have a new Quartz counter top and sink being installed along with new appliances the week of September 14th- so I will post some after pictures when that process is done.

The biggest drawback at this time is the lack of garage.  Right now we just have a car port, but as soon as we can sell our Dillon house, we will look into adding on a garage.  We are getting settled and Noah starts his new school on Monday!  Very exciting times.

We spent this weekend fly fishing (although we should have been packing!). Saturday we fished the Williams Fork River below the dam.  We got there too late in the morning and it was way to hot for anything to be biting so Noah scoped out a great rock to perch on.

Today we went to the Snake River about 5 minutes from our house.  It was a much more sucessful day!  Noah caught one right away.  Then I caught one and then Noah caught another one!

I picked up some yellow squash the other day and decided to have it for dinner tonight along with Iowa Tenderloins.  But it was warm here today – so I decided to cook it on the grill.  All chopped up with salt, pepper, olive oil and chopped garlic!  Then I decided to grill some sweet onions to have on top of the sandwiches.  As you can see my whole grill is consumed by yumminess.

Finally my Bleeding Heart is blooming!  July 24th – Can you beleive it!

Its the year of the Columbine this year… I have White, Blue, Purple and Red all growing- and Im pretty sure we only planted the red one… the rest are volunteer… I might have to see if I can scrounge up some yellow columbine seeds to make my collection complete.

I know it doesnt look like much, but it has great potential.  We close (knock on wood) on the 10th and I will post more photos then.

I found this great spiral grass at a local plant shop, but I dont know what its called.  Anyone know the name of it?
